This is a message, it’s my message about something that is personal to me with regards to how and why I create the music I do.  And now, I want to share my message.

Types of music.

Advertising music
AI music
Formula music
Externalised music
Written music
Words and Music

What problem/s do they represent?

Banality
Predictability
A lack of creative progress
A lack of progress overall
A diminishing of the spirit.
A devaluing of the human soul.

What do they all have in common?

They are all controlled by us.
They are all controlled and calculated by us.

AREA CONTROL
Advertising Psychological attraction
AI Prompts and big data
Formulas Written music rules, parameters, theories, boundaries
Externalisation Dress, glamour, look, attraction
Words and music Language, phrasing, emotional hooks and patterns. Psychology.

They all describe an art that is a base level conscious control of the creation of it.

I can tell you what will happen, what this will lead to.  AI will be able to use all the controls we have put in place for music, as humans, for all creative processes, not just music, and then create art faster than us to fit the categories I listed above.  AI becomes the control and we might even come to call it conscious control, and claim that the AI is conscious now, and we will become prompters.

We will then “live perform” the AI’s interpretation of our millennia worth of creative history and development that the machine has learned from.  The art will then be about the human performance.

AI could be used to determine what goes into the performance to make it saleable and garner the ticket sales needed.  So human performance is controlled AI which is prompted by humans.

But eventually, in the not-too-distant future, that will be performed by artificially simulated bipedal humanoid robots that look perfect in terms of the banal superficial art they are trying to represent

So, we then, will become puppets and we will make puppets to perform like puppets.

It’s happening now.
Do you want to be a puppet?
Do you want your children to be puppets?
Do we want the future generations to be puppets?

Some may say, “If it makes a bucket load of money, yeah, I’ll be a puppet.”

Ok, no worries, you go and do and live that, then there isn’t a problem, I love enjoying that kind of stuff, some of it is great and good fun and sounds and looks amazing.  It really isn’t a problem.  To be honest I don’t really consider it a “problem”, it’s just my thoughts, and ultimately, I want you to listen to my music, love it, and support me.  It’s just the branding books I read all say I should say that I’m solving a problem.  You have found me because I offer to solve your problem with music. I’m “branding” because I want your interest and your financial support.  How can you provide either of those if I have no message, if I can’t explain to you what I’m doing, other than creating music.

None of it really matters does it?  Family, love and relationships, isn’t that what is important?  As long as the banality of the day-to-day work serves to finance a life in a cave with a tribe then that’s all good.

But really, this is a message, it’s my message about something that is personal to me with regards to how I create my music.  And now, I want to share my message.

I want those who receive and share with my message, to join me, to help me, to be with me on the journey, to listen to my music so that we can express the depths of the human soul together.

For me, I’ve decided to move forward with hope for human art.  What have you decided?  I’m going to try through my final days on this earth to develop that hope.  I’ve begun the method I thought of but couldn’t fulfil when I was a teenager.  Now I need your help to make this be the future.

Listen to the demo here, all created from within, I didn’t control it.

I drew myself back from this world and layer by layer I played.

These are the pieces of music that came from this process.

I didn’t set a tempo, decide a time signature, come up with a purpose that make sales, try to develop a hook and I didn’t bring my “self” to the playing.

I let my ears hear and my hands play and the mysterious depths come through to create.

“I” listened back and I thought, “That wasn’t me!”.  Good, I can share this.

“I” listened back and I thought, “That sounds like me.”  Nope, start over, try again.
